ASM are a cross border firm of accountants specialising in a wide range of accounting services including compliance, advisory, audit, tax & the provision of ‘Real Time’ cloud accounting. During my time at ASM I have gained a wide variety of experience working in all of the areas listed above but particularly compliance, advisory & audit for both companies and individuals of all sizes. Duties and Responsibilities include: • Preparation of financial statements from core records, including all balance sheet reconciliations • Preparation of management accounts & projections • Review of financial statements including notes, disclosures and compliance with company law and accounting standards (Irish & UK GAAP/IFRS) • Audit senior for a number of clients & jointly responsible for all our ROI audits • Supervision & training of junior staff • Addressing & resolving accounting/auditing issues as they arise • Continuous communication with clients • Liaising with the company secretarial department to meet submission deadlines & reporting obligations Audit experience includes: • Completion of audit planning & review of key risks • Documenting systems, procedures, environment & control structures • Audit testing in line with key risks identified during planning • Completion of audit file & determination of audit report in conjunction with Audit RI. • Experience in a number of industries including construction, retail, manufacturing,technological & charities among others Tax experience includes: • Preparation of various tax returns including Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT & PAYE. • Preparation of rental computations for income tax • Liaising with specialist tax manager in areas such as CGT & CAT. • Ensuring appropriate engagement & reporting deadlines are met.
