As the first Senior Business development manager Northland has ever employed I was given a great opportunity and a blank canvas to create my role within Northland. With no sales team and no leads I have self generated all new business and developed long term relationships with large enterprise global clients in order to create a long term pipeline and to secure new opportunities for Northland. Preparing large detailed RFP’s and RFI’s and secured contracts for security integration, global service and PPM along with professional engineering services for specific custom reporting or integrations. Working pro-actively with internal teams within Northland and external suppliers across EMEA, APAC and the US to onboard managing from concept to completion. Over a period of 3 years I secured a number of large global Enterprise clients with overall values to £1m, the largest providing services across 80 countries.
Responsible for the development of new opportunities across London and the UK working directly with End Users, Construction and Consultants. To attend Networking events, manage attendance to marketing exhibitions and seminars in order to promote the profile of Lenel ad UTC. I started out my career with ADT Fire and security in the Central monitoring station before then moving on to start a 3 Year Security Systems Engineering Apprenticeship Installing Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Fire Alarm systems. Once completed I spent a total of 7 years on the tools before then moving into a Sales Engineering role. Following a number of years consistently over achieving my targets I progressed through various sales roles through the years and consistently hitting targets. I finished out my time at ADT as a Major Projects Systems Sales Exec designing and costing bespoke security and fire installations for large corporate organisations before deciding to move into a new role with a new company.
