At the deal stage, spearhead the investment function - firming view on the investment opportunity (corroborated with commercial diligence), deal negotiations, working with consultants/ lawyers (for financial/ legal diligence, tax structuring and documentation). Post investment, work closely with a few select portfolio companies and advise them on business strategy, product planning/ development, GTM, etc. with an objective of scaling up and preparing for the next fundraise. Lead various strategic discussions for the Fund, viz. portfolio companies flipping the corporate structure to an overseas jurisdiction, negotiations during follow-on rounds of portfolio companies, etc. Work closely with fintech investments made by the fund including Grip, Nakad, Jar and India Lends. Actively working on planning and implementing exits from portfolio companies of Advantedge Founder I fund. Managing the entire deal process starting from conceptualization of deal to negotiations to implementation. Managed the Fund setup process (along with external tax and legal consultants) to conceptualize and implement the desired structure comprising of trust, sponsor, and investment manager. Led conversations with SEBI for approval and registration as Cat I VC Fund under the AIF Regulations. On a recurring basis, managing (i) Fund administration function as per various statutes and regulations required to be complied by a SEBI registered AIF, and (ii) Investor relations.
