Supervise the materials department and storekeepers onboard the rig. Main responsibility is to ensure the rig takes delivery of all required equipment, company assets, rental equipment and new purchases required. Obtain quotes and negotiate contracts for supply base coordinators, remote storage locations and services required for logistic projects. The position also requires reviewing various reports and forwarding reports to Aberdeen and Houston office. My position responds directly to Operations Manager locally and Supply chain manager Aberdeen. Other responsibilities are: Budgets, auditing the storeroom onboard the rig, attending operator meetings, approving invoices, reviewing vendors and creating procedures that are relevant to the materials department.
Support the Materials supervisor to provide support to the rig. Handle Logistics to and from the supply bases. Handle all rig repair items, and all equipment sent ashore for storage. Run inventory control in warehouse and remote storage areas. Help the Material supervisor with purchase orders when required. The material team’s main purpose is to support the rig, which includes being part of the on call duty rotation.
Handling logistics between Tananger base, rigs offshore and abroad. Specific responsibility is equipment backloaded to Tananger base. All this work includes creating and controlling delivery tickets, shipping manifest and dangerous goods papers. Regular forklift driving and assisting other departments when necessary.
Managing spareparts warehouse, and sales of spareparts. Participating in cost control and bugdet planning.
