1220 Capital Management, LLC is the fund manager and general partner of 1220 Capital Group, LP, a Minneapolis-based private investment fund. Founded in 2021 and actively investing since early 2022, our firm seeks to diversify your portfolio by attempting to provide returns with a lower correlation to the overall public equities market. Our fund intends to deploy a variety of trading, investment, and hedging strategies. These strategies include short and long-term positions in public equities and equity derivatives. 1220 Capital Group believes that public companies should be selected for investment using both quantitative and qualitative models. Some of these models may be proprietary. Our research methods include searching for and identifying companies we feel are overvalued or undervalued. We do not intend to be a strict “growth” or “value” oriented fund. We understand that successful active fund management requires a robust view of today's global economic systems. Recent financial market volatility has reinforced the need for 1220 Capital Group's investment approach. Many industry leading public companies may continue to grow their market share, even during uncertain economic times. However, in our view, there may be elevated risk when investing at historically high valuations. New investments in these industry leaders should be entered carefully.
