Patrick Chun's current jobs
A consortium of businesses, NGOs and governments for creating a 21st-century curriculum focusing on soft skills based on the IITTI World Civility Index credentialing standard ecosystem. The motivation is to provide the education for young people in the face of a world of AI, robots and driver-less cars. Instead of seeing the world with less employment opportunities, the 'Future of Work Global' curriculum will focus on: 1.) cultivating hobbies 2.) learning how to talk to old people 3.) learning how to handle boredom In turn, this allows young people to "work" based on hobbies and interests, communicate better with their seniors where new opportunities could be discovered, and have the grit to see hardship as growth. Companies get to participate by embarking on their own civility training where proceeds are fed into the curriculum-building for the youth. In doing so, a company can do good for its company culture, raise their ESG (environmental, social, governance) rating, and good for society at the same time. Feeding three birds with one seed!
From establishing two sister non-profits IITTI (soft skills credentialing standard) and the ISSTA (soft skills train-the-trainer accreditation), in 2018 Patrick and team further completing the soft skills training industry ecosystem by establishing the Orange Consortium as the banding together of trainers to write articles and produce videos for learners, where all learners get to earn 'World Civility Index' credentials as proof.
Patrick Chun, professional engineer, computer programmer, educator, entrepreneur, and founder of Greenwood, graduated from the University of British Columbia, Canada in engineering with first class honours, and subsequently went on for graduate studies at McGill University, Canada, and the University of California, USA in computer engineering. In the mid 2000's, Patrick led Greenwood into closing a sale of a subsidiary of educational software to a multinational company overseas. Subsequently, the same customer requested Patrick to supply new products in the area of corporate soft skill training for business applications. This, in turn, led Patrick to help found the non-profit IITTI (International Soft Skills Standards & Testing) with some of the most seasoned image consultants around the world. In 2011, Patrick and team successfully created a "behind-the-scene" assessment/credentialing platform in supplying soft skills training and testing for IITTI in 17 countries as of 2019.
