Two Heads is a network for head girls, head boys, their deputies and senior prefects. The goal is simple: to empower pupils at state and independent schools to work together to shape the world they want to live in. United and Supported ‘Two Heads’ is a cross-sector network of head pupils that unites independent and state schools to work together to tackle issues that affect their local communities, their country and their planet. Two Heads is inviting head boys, head girls, their deputies and senior prefects from every secondary school to act as the focal point to lead their schools, families and communities on issues such as climate change, the environment, single-use plastics, diet, health and well-being. World Focus The World faces huge challenges over the coming decades and it is our children who will be affected the greatest. It is therefore vital that we provide them the support to tackle these challenges and ensure they have a platform for their collective voices to be heard. Heads girls, boys and senior prefects provide the perfect focal point for world organisations, experts and social influencers to support future generations to take action and spread the message to millions of families and communities worldwide. 2020 is the year for clarity of vision, a year for hope and change. There has never been a greater need or desire to help future generations take an active role in shaping their future. Community Inspired currently run a network of 70 county Facebook groups for PTAs, with over 10,000 schools participating and supporting one another. Two Heads will replicate and build on this success with similar networks on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
As founder of Community Inspired, I have spent 15 years developing platforms to help communities support one another. Established Projects: PTA+ resources and services help hardworking PTAs in over 18,000 state schools raise extra money for projects that inspire school children and raise their aspirations. PTA+ website (www.pta.co.uk) and magazine (circ 20,000 schools, 3 times a year) now help PTAs raise an average of £8,500 a year or £160m collectively. In March 2016 we launched a second service for school business managers and school leadership teams. 'FundEd' opens a whole new world of opportunities for school income generation and fundraising. There are thousands of schools raising money through innovative means. We are talking to these schools, collating the ideas and creating resources so that all schools can work together to share best practice. FundEd also brings together advice and programmes from fundraising experts, philanthropists, bid writers, foundations and other specialists to help generate extra sources of funding for schools. Through tried and tested solutions, expert guidance and practical tools we will help thousands of schools develop ongoing, sustainable income streams to deliver projects that inspire.
