I have been recruiting in Japan since the end of '80s and still engaged in it today. Founded my first recruiting company (Access Technology Japan) in 1992 (exited 2007). The second was Pacific Associates Limited (exited 2016). This company, Accretive Talent for Japan (ATJ), is the third recruiting enterprise I have founded. The companies I have founded, their subsidiaries and their total staff to have worked in them over the past 25 years is roughly a dozen and a thousand, respectively. Recruiting is my life's work. Helping people and teams grow to achieve more of their potential and, in doing so, helping them to achieve prosperity never gets old for me. Thus, though I have attempted to retire twice, I am still sitting in an office full of recruiters and a truly wonderful support-team as I write this. Recruiting is my life: I love it. Co-founded this APAC-centric recruiting company with a former college from Access Technology Japan in 2013. We are active throughout APAC, but strongest in Japan. We founded the company on the belief that even in these modern times, old fashioned service was still a basis for a good long-term oriented business. We are true search professionals, hunting for the talent our clients require, rather than passively waiting for applicants. Indeed we are 'head-hunters', but I prefer to think of our style as head-farming: We build enduring relations and engagements with our candidates and clients, many lasting for many years. This approach applies internally as well: We have low turnover our team-members (we strive for a family-feel culture in our company).
