My role had initially been focused on delivering a working organizational process for managing all Data Center Operation ( DCO ) projects. Key projects included • The delivery of new network security infrastructure (sourcefire, NID running VMWare ESXi Hypervisor and a VM running the actual sourcefire OS/software + NTAP deployment) • Project to implement Network Service Monitoring across the Cell environment • SM7 to SM9 migration programme • Standard infrastructure deployments (eg VM’s, Snap Mirror, Gigamon Deployment, HP SIM/VCEM, DCIM, • Microsoft global unified licence framework contractual agreements • ISO certification of new Data centres • Disaster recovery plans for all strategic data centres and The DCO Business Continuity plans • Win 2003 end of life (over 39 thousand servers) • The development of an IPv6 solution.
