After years of dreaming about owning a dog and considering the practicalities of it being possible - Roux started the long journey into finding her perfect puppy. Researching breeds, visiting events, locating breed clubs, speaking to many experts in her chosen breed, she eventually found herself standing in front of a litter of english bull terrier puppies. This 8 year old who dreamt for years about having a dog, eventually became an official Petparent at 25, she was over the moon. Falling instantly in love with the runt of the litter, a love affair that lasted 14 years begun. Louis was named and adored throughout his life. Vets, Walkers, behaviourists, pet food experts, even a groomer once in a while were all needed along Louis' journey. A promise was made by Louis and Roux that Louis would live long enough to see her first child. When Roux fell pregnant with twins, Louis fell ill with cancer and passed away keeping their promise. This website is dedicated to everyone who wants to start this most amazing friendship with a pet, helping them find all the people, places and events that will bring them closer to their pet. Roux has always wanted Petsmiles to be independent for all the pet lovers out there to use.
