- Special assignment on BMW G12 floor console project in Europe working with supplier part check data, the supplier and the design engineers to determine if features within a part need to be tuned in the tools or allow an expansion of the print tolerance to allow the part as is to be acceptable. - Responsible for all Direct Ship Suppliers to Tesla Motors as well as major component/process suppliers into our two primary manufacturing plants with Tesla content, Gadsden, AL, and Matamoros, MX. - Responsible for all formal customer complaints processing with Tesla Motors. - Work directly with suppliers to improve and maintain quality performance. - Review and approve supplier part approvals for product transfers and engineering changes. - Represent Inteva at Tesla for critical quality concerns including all products manufactured by Inteva, supplied to Inteva or produced by a direct ship supplier for Inteva. - Work with suppliers to root cause quality problem cases as needed. - Conduct New Supplier Certification Audits at potential new suppliers to Inteva. - Conduct Control Plan Audits at suppliers.
- Responsible for Current Production Program Product Engineers and their programs. - Responsible for Cockpit and Interior Product Line Cost Savings activities. - Assigned to work with our North American manufacturing plants on scrap reduction as a means of cost savings with a goal of eliminating $2M in year over year scrap.
- Lead multiple customer programs with 2010 calendar year launch dates and over $22M in combined annual sales. - Temporarily re-located to Portland, OR for seven months during the design phase for one of these programs to represent Inteva at customer design, styling, cost and engineering meetings and reviews. - Co-led emergency take-over of over $90M in current, in-production business from a bankrupt competitor. This included the re-location of production tooling, assembly fixtures, gauges, WIP, supplied component inventory and internal and external dunnage in a 4 week window. All color, gloss, harmony and dimensional approvals were completed in another 4 weeks to higher standards than previous supplier could meet.
- Led relocation of all manufacturing operations from Vandalia, Ohio to multiple locations including Matamoros, MX, Gadsden, AL and Adrian, MI. to prepare division to be sold from Delphi. - Program Manager for 2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer and GMC Envoy IP Program - Successfully led 2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer and GMC Envoy Instrument Panel (IP) Program Quote - Led team effort to win replacement business for canceled 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer and GMC Envoy IP Program - Successfully lead 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer and GMC Envoy IP Program Quote - Led 20 plus member, multi-functional quote team for 4-month effort to secure over $400M in revenue for 5-year program. - Continued as overall program lead engineer as well as Lead Product Engineer for Chevrolet Trailblazer IP - Led transitional effort after program award into design development phase until the program was postponed in October 2005
