Manage the Regulatory Compliance Engineering Team that are responsible for managing global regulatory NPI and Sustaining programs for Aruba Business Unit. Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors designing and developing engineering solutions and coordinating projects for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms. Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps. Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners. Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources. Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities. Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development. Manage partner relationships with overseas JDMs including test lab interaction during DVT and PVT testing. Ensure products are compliant to Global Standards such as: FCC CFR47 Part15B/15C/15E, ICES-003, AS/NZS EN55032/EN55024, EN 300 328 (2.4 GHz/BT/ZigBee), EN 301 893 (5 GHz/DFS), EN 300 440, EN 301 489-1/-17, CISPR35 IEC/EN 60950-1 2nd Ed, IEC/EN 62368-1, RoHS2/REACH, and MPE exposure requirements.

Principle responsibilities include playing a key role in the design and certification of Aruba’s RF and wired products. Work closely with development engineering and product management to provide guidance for product design and country approval of Aruba products. Partner with other members of the compliance team to create plans for testing and certification, and participate in design and test reviews as the compliance subject matter expert. Of particular importance is ensuring that all relevant global regulatory requirements for radio devices are met. Be current and up to date on all relevant Radio, EMC, Safety, Industry specific and regulatory requirements. Engagement with various groups (operations, software, electrical, mechanical, product management) as early as possible in the R&D cycle is necessary, and collaboration with OEM/JDM partners is also required.

Principal responsibility is to secure world-wide regulatory compliance (EMC, Product Safety and RF) for high-end home entertainment and WLAN 802.11a/g/n (DFS) equipment and to maintain the compliance status of legacy products throughout the life cycle. • Ownership of worldwide regulatory Compliance certifications for Sonos products. • Set out strategies for optimizing Compliance testing in a fast moving development environment. • Keep track of ongoing changes in worldwide EMI/EMC/ESD, RF emissions, safety and environmental Compliance matters. • Involvement in the design for Compliance in the early product design phases. • Early testing of products and troubleshooting of all EMI/EMC/ESD issues. • Work independently to perform EMC pre-compliance scans and ESD testing. • Work with third parties to coordinate EMI/EMC/ESD testing. • Compile and archive all certification documentation. • Analyze data and prepare reports.

Over 15 years of compliance test and development, including EMC, Acoustic Noise and Radio (Wi-Fi & Bluetooth). · Immunity Testing (CISPR24, EN300386, EN301-489-1) · Spl Acoutical Meassurements in accordnace to CISPR24/EN24 Annex A · Worldwide EMC Testing (FCC, VCCI, KCC, CISPR22) · Perform Radio Testing on WLAN 2.4GHz and 5GHz & Bluetooth to following std. (15.247, 15.407, EN300328, EN301893, LP0002, Japan, Korea..) Developing test methods and setups for Radio, EMC and Acoustic compliance testing.
