Holding a role of General Manager of an NGO consisting of almost 1500 volunteers, managing budget of over 2 milion PLN, leading an international team of 16 people being only 24 years old is an experience that marked me and keeps marking me. In a very short time I had to become much more self-aware to give the best for my team and to enhance performance of each team member. I had to learn how to empower each individual to allow my team to be at their best, to keep them motivated and willing to contribute at more than 100%. Facing many issues and challenges I had to learn how to find solutions and how to empower my team to find solutions, I had to learn how to find silver lining and opportunities in everything that had happened. Most importantly, however, through this experience I became a world citizen, I opened my eyes for the needs of my surroundings and I took a concious decision to keep trying to make it better for my entire life. We finished our term with following results: - 71% of growth in the number of approved exchanges (AIESEC's main measure of success) - increased financial resources by around 130% (opening balance vs. closing balance) - 15% of growth in sales of national product portfolio, noting a record of national sales so far - increased financial stability of local chapters by 36% - increased member productivity (exchange delivered by member) by 56%
