The Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp), an agency under the purview of the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR), has been progressively enhancing the Industrial Skills Framework (IndSF) - Digital Technology document since 2019 with progressive addition of new focus areas. Currently, there are 10 focus areas that have been developed under IndSF Digital Technology. The IndSF document is expected to function as a national reference for individuals, employers and training providers on skills and competencies in demand, as well as to improve employability rate in the industry. In line with this aspiration, HRD Corp also proactively engages in the initiative to enhance the existing IndSF documents so that it is up to date and meets the current industry demands for skills and talent development. One of the focus areas under IndSF Digital Technology that has been identified for enhancement is Data Science As a Subject Matter Expert for the development of the HRD Corp Industrial Skills Framework (IndSF) Digital Technology the main role is to provide valuable input during the workshop sessions related to career pathway, job titles, and skills descriptions and recommended training programs.
Appointed as one of the expert panel under the programme by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation MDEC which is under Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM) for Advancing Malaysia’s Economy by Accelerating Digital Transformation. MDEC’s aspiration is to firmly establish Malaysia as the Heart of Digital ASEAN, a regional digital powerhouse launching global champions to lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution, ensuring our digital economy will drive shared prosperity for all Malaysians. TEN (Talent Expert Network) is conducted in order to provide industry inputs, recommendation's and approval related to digital tech talent skills development in Malaysia. Primary Objectives of TEN : > To establish a quality subject matter experts’ group in a range of data, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technologies; > To draw on the expertise of these proven data, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital tech practitioners to review and verify the industry-relevance of digital tech curriculum/training courses or talent initiatives organized, facilitated, or supported by MDEC; > To nurture digital workforce that can support industry needs; > To grow global demand for Malaysia’s tech talents; and > To create life-long learning culture amongst Malaysians to be equipped with digital knowledge and competencies.
