Developed responsive web applications for quoting and purchase of insurance and financing. Leveraged cutting edge technologies like React.js (frontend), HTML5/SASS (styling), Node (proxy), and Thymeleaf (backend). Revamped UI and application interface for the website to be mobile friendly using tools like flexbox, pushy while strictly adhering to the WCAG standard thus attracting 200,000 visitors per month. Developed reusable dynamic Components using the React.js framework, ES6 classes & React mixins, improving development time and providing an identical experience across the board. Translated design team’s UX mockups using HTML5/SAAS using BEM naming conventions and the ITCSS methodology for SASS. Created templates(JSX) for the Components ensuring the applications are SEO friendly, leading to the website appearing 2nd in search results. Used D3.js and Charts.js to generate sales reports dashboard aiding informed decisions. Updated the frontend architecture to Webpack 4 along with setting up modules like Babel, BrowserSync, hot-reload, SASS-loader and sourcemaps to ease development using Gulp as the task runner. Utilized best practices to implement patterns like import-export, minification, SASS-prefixing, functional programming (mixins, compositions). Set up Raven.js (Sentry) to catch errors and performed unit testing using Mocha/Jest and BrowserStack for cross-browser compatibility testing . Used helper libraries like Lodash, Moment, JQuery to supplement/build the system and improve performance.
