Rachel Roberts's current jobs
As Eastman's first Associate Professor of Music Leadership and Graduate Degree Program Director, I serve as the primary faculty instructor for the new degree program as well as administrative lead the new MA in Music Leadership. Through this hybrid faculty / administrative role within Eastman's Institute for Music Leadership, I support students' leadership development through a unique combination of artistic and executive skills. The Master of Arts in Music Leadership degree is designed for musicians who seek to lead traditional and/or non-traditional musical arts organizations. This 14-month degree program uses an integrated approach to develop and hone both artistic and managerial skills for the next generation of music leaders. Through a combination of intense classroom study, courses from Eastman’s rich performance and scholarly offerings, and hands-on experiences through internships and mentorships, graduates will be empowered with executive skills to assume guiding roles in musical arts initiatives of all shapes and sizes, connecting with other leaders in the world-wide Eastman community.
