Teaching Assistant, Undergraduate Studies Course – Young People & Drugs Responsible for three sections/co-horts of the Young People in Drugs class. Assisted faculty member with preparation and facilitation of large-group lecture (130 plus students a) addressing the physiological, psychosocial, and cultural aspects of psychoactive substances in relation to a diverse population of adolescents. Facilitated 3 weekly discussion sections for multi-level undergraduate students to assist in promoting a greater understanding of the lecture material through discussion and group exercises. Evaluated student essays and group oral presentations. Administered and graded all exams and paper throughout semester.
Implement restorative justice trainings to schools, districts and their partners. Responsible for providing consultation, coaching and support to identified districts and schools. Design and deliver training for school & district personnel, School Resource Officers, community partners, and students in restorative principles and practices. Provide consultation, coaching & technical support around implementation of school-based restorative programs & practices; promote the inclusion of underserved communities to ensure culturally appropriate services.
