My role as COO encompasses the following areas of responsibility: Head of Investment Operations • Oversight, validation and sign off on all Investment Operations activities • Ensure systems and procedures enable FIM to meet agreed SLA’s • Re-engineer and streamline processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, security and profitability while reducing risks, costs, resource time and scope for errors • Escalation point to proactively resolve any operational issues • ‘A’ signatory for FIM Capital Ltd & FIM Nominees Ltd, member of the Controls & Risk Committee, along with being IOMFSA Key Man approved Head of IT (outsourced solutions) • Provide strategy & guidance to the FIM board relating to how technology can optimise business • Build and manage a team of 3rd party suppliers who can meet all IT & comms requirements within agreed SLA’s and budget • Manage the RFP/Tender process for all suppliers of: hardware, software, licencing, cloud solution, DC, DR, cyber security, networks, Wi-Fi, 4G, phones, voice recording, portable devices, scanning, printing and copying • Work closely with suppliers of: banking, brokerage, settlement, custody, data, portfolio management, software development, tax reporting and accounting systems • Responsible for updates to all FIM websites • Responsible for security, integrity and confidentiality of all data along with ensuring successful audits Project Management • Project management of the full life cycle of developments to systems & solutions including: conceptualisation, requirements gathering, detailed specifications, planning, budget, reporting, risk mitigation, testing and deployment • Development of existing and new products to ensure they are robust, secure, commercially viable, scaleable and successfully launched • Contractual and commercial review, negotiation and sign off of 3rd party T&C’s Relationship Management • FIM Directors and staff, key clients, external partners and suppliers, compliance, auditors
