Reviewed research protocols and study materials - including Focus Group Discussion guides and Key Informant Interview questionnaires on lived experiences with seeking youth-friendly family planning services in Senegal. Advocated for the use of evidence-driven advocacy to improve the implementation of existing family planning (FP) policies and to generate new funding and policy commitments for FP.

Conducted assessments in 6 SWEDD countries (Mali, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Niger, Chad and Ivory Coast) to pinpoint programmatic gaps and measure financial implications on country project needs for the successful implementation of Phase II of the SWEDD project

Provided one-on-one English language lessons to working professionals and elementary school students learning English as a second language in Dakar, Senegal.

Ebola Response: Investigated alerts and performed active surveillance for suspect cases of Ebola virus disease, and other diseases of epidemic potential (measles, AFP cases, cholera, yellow fever etc.). Collaborated with intergovernmental and nongovernmental organizations such as WHO, IOM and Red Cross to implement Ebola surveillance activities, provide trainings on proper use of PPEs and Ebola- RDTs Expanded Program on Immunization Polio Eradication: Provided technical support on polio vaccination campaign planning and supervision of implementation activities in Conakry, identifying challenges, and providing solutions to improve vaccine coverage. Selected as an International Evaluator for Guineas 2nd Polio Outbreak Response Assessment (OBRA) to assess whether Guineas polio outbreak response activities were able to detect and interrupt all polio transmission. Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) Technical Assistance: Reviewed proposals for implementation of Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) activities in Guinea and served as a technical manager on one of CDC Guineas cooperative agreements, conducting technical reviews of work plans and site visits to monitor the implementation of funded activities.

Culturally adapted and oversaw the implementation of a U.S. evidence-based HIV intervention known as Becoming a responsible Teen (BART) a group education and behavioral skills training intervention designed to reduce risky sexual behavior and improve safer sex skills. Conducted focus group discussions and evaluated participants to assess the intervention's impact on participants and to inform future implementation of intervention. http://www.healthyouth.org/

Managed, cleaned and validated clinic assessment data from the Kigali Antiretroviral and Breastfeeding Assessment for the Elimination of HIV (Kabeho Study), an observational prospective cohort of 607 HIV-positive women on triple-drug ART. Coded and qualitatively analyzed transcripts from focus group discussions and in-depth interviews to assess the effectiveness and feasibility of universal ART for HIV-positive pregnant women (Option B+) coupled with infant feeding counseling on the HIV-free survival of HIV exposed infants.

Adapted and created HIV/AIDS case management, risk assessments and data collection tools in accordance with the Minnesota Department of Human Services HIV/AIDS Medical Case Management Standards. Coordinated support groups, facilitated community outreach activities, recruited participants for the HIV/AIDS Case Management Program and provided one-on-one counseling and support for up-to 50 patients with HIV/AIDS or at risk for HIV/AIDS.

Facilitated intervention sessions for a motivational interviewing based, National Institute for Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) grant funded, prevention program promoting healthy choices around alcohol and drugs to approximately 240 high school students.

Facilitated a bi-weekly 60-minute Annex Birth Control classes to 30+ new adolescent clients seeking prescription methods of birth control. Administered Birth Control Class Post Test and Client Survey to assess STI and pregnancy prevention knowledge.

Enhanced Regions Hospitals customer service image by addressing the broad spectrum of needs, and/or concerns in a professional, friendly and efficient manner. Trained new staff and volunteers and supervised volunteers and interns.

Conducted review of electronic medical record systems to screen for pregnant women and mothers, with children ages 0 to 5 years, with depression . Collected and managed patient hospital intake and psychosocial diagnosis summary data to inform the need for outpatient mental health services that support women and their families.

Developed and implemented a four-week healthy youth curriculum for twelve students, ages 11 to 18, on topics related to a range of health issues that impact youth residents of Lamin Village in The Gambia such as HIV/AIDS, sexual violence, and STIs. http://starfishinternational.org/

Conducted in-depth interviews with youth, aged 8-12 years and their caregivers for a qualitative study assessing link between risk and resilience among youth who are exposed to stressors, particularly in the context of socioeconomic disadvantage. Monitored and documented study activities to ensure compliance with IRB protocol including informed consent for all study participants.

Recruited and enrolled 100+ male and female teens, aged 14-18, from three community clinics and schools within the metro area for a web-based intervention aimed at promoting healthy decision making among teens (TeensTalkHealth Study). Obtained informed consent from caregivers and teens who met all eligibility criteria for study.

Corresponded with prospective International Students, assembled confidential documents, filed college applications, and completed data entry.

Participated in fieldwork and preliminary data collection of survey questionnaires for the Malaria Sentinel Surveillance System in conjunction with the Gambia Bureau of Statistics. Participated in a week long workshop for regional health workers on the Malaria Sentinel Surveillance System.
