Duties and Responsibilities: • Issue purchase order in compliance to the purchasing policy • Issue RPO (Reschedule Purchase Orders) on pull in, push out and cancellation request on purchase orders and ensure suppliers prompt action. • Ensure vendor on time delivery to meet target production schedule through expediting • Manage all aspects of material purchase in GES Asia sites - engineering build, pilot run, mass production, end-of-life stages etc. • Closely coordinate with project leader, commodity specialist, BU (Business Unit) managers, engineers and supplier in resolving material shortages and providing supply assurance on customer’s short leadtime order loading, upside and pull in. • Working closely with commodity and engineer team to qualify alternate parts/source • Feedback problematic parts to project leader/BU and propose alternate solutions to resolve the problematic parts to project leader/BU. • Manage excess and obsolete inventory - Actively seek opportunities for transfer to other GES site, return to vendors, re-sales etc. • Clean up pricing, MOQ, AVL issues or any other matter that stop buy from ordering required part. • Inventory control management on the component/commodity being assigned • Review and explain excess and obsolescense inventory • Anticipatory purchases. Propose the BU and project leader to buy extra qty in anticipation of a price increase to save money or tight supply to prevent shortage. • Reduce MRB inventory. Coordinate with suppliers and IQA component quality issues until closure. • RMA return management • Resolve vendor payment issue and settle invoice price discrepancies • Ensure integrity of MRP • Ensure correctness of purchasing matrix (leadtime, MOQ, SPQ, EOL, LTB, pricing, manufacturing part number, packaging) • Clear past due POs and align outstanding POs with suppliers

Duties and Responsibilities: • Handles customer’s material inquiries and provide clear material visibility • Guide and assist Component buyers in supply assurance, involve in expediting, negotiate with suppliers to improve delivery schedule and supply protection. Clean up pricing, MOQ, AVL issues or any other matter that stop buy from ordering required part. • Take lead in inventory control and management by managing excess inventories and obsolete components • Working closely with component buyers, Commodity and Engineer to quality alternate parts/source • Propose buffer/safety stock for long leadtime, unique components and EOL parts. • Represent purchasing in Business Unit and customer meetings and material reviews and new products introduction meetings • Review and approve ECN and ECO for materials team • Prepare and present management reports in inventory turn and aging report for assigned customers in monthly purchasing KPI reviews • Represent material team in weekly meeting with customer and responsible on all material related issues. Job Highlights and Accomplishments: • Handled key account customers - Biorad Laboratories, Leica Instruments, MKS Instruments (all divisions), Newport, ASI, Pacom, Cubic, SPX, Tyco Security and Crosswater. • Met and exceeded monthly sales forecast from May 2010 up to present for all handled customers • Improved inventory turn by achieving target inventory and sales. • Established process flow to enhance material visibility and reporting to customer • Increased number of parts under VMI and buffer program • Reduced the number of parts with common MPN for better inventory management and control • Formulated the process flow on the assignment of new part • Handled the smooth transition from NPI to massproduction build for assigned key customers

• Attends new products meetings (kick-off and phase exit reviews). • Ensure all relevant and latest revision of program information and documents are obtained to be used for planning guide. (example of documents are: kick off minutes, Product Parts List (PPL), Bill of Materials (BOM), Build Schedules and Gantt Charts which give the detailed program required for new product development) • Review gantt chart and monitor on time release of specifications and highlight any delay that would affect target build schedule. • Review and summarize Product Parts list or the Bill of Materials required for prototype build, Engineering Verification Test (EVT) stage build, and golden samples build. • Provide supply plan and coordinate with all stakeholders (purchasing, alternate sourcing, technical and commodity management group and design engineering) all identified high risk components (unique/single source, long lead time and new components). • Ensure all new parts in Bill of Material is coordinated with Engineering Materials Purchasing for procurement of parts. . • Ensure complete and timely arrival of parts prior to build schedule in factory and engineering. Coordinate with purchasing and engineering all design changes during development stage and report status of the program to concerned groups. Highlight problem part that would cause target build delays. • Capture and report all material obsolescence due to engineering changes • Check system accuracy of information entered in the system such as BOM’s effectivity date and MRP forecast versus build plan. • Document and standardize New Products Planning process flow. • Consolidate reports (eg New Products Materials Metrics, Material Reviews) and present to top management.
