Duties and Responsibilities: • Issue purchase order in compliance to the purchasing policy • Issue RPO (Reschedule Purchase Orders) on pull in, push out and cancellation request on purchase orders and ensure suppliers prompt action. • Ensure vendor on time delivery to meet target production schedule through expediting • Manage all aspects of material purchase in GES Asia sites - engineering build, pilot run, mass production, end-of-life stages etc. • Closely coordinate with project leader, commodity specialist, BU (Business Unit) managers, engineers and supplier in resolving material shortages and providing supply assurance on customer’s short leadtime order loading, upside and pull in. • Working closely with commodity and engineer team to qualify alternate parts/source • Feedback problematic parts to project leader/BU and propose alternate solutions to resolve the problematic parts to project leader/BU. • Manage excess and obsolete inventory - Actively seek opportunities for transfer to other GES site, return to vendors, re-sales etc. • Clean up pricing, MOQ, AVL issues or any other matter that stop buy from ordering required part. • Inventory control management on the component/commodity being assigned • Review and explain excess and obsolescense inventory • Anticipatory purchases. Propose the BU and project leader to buy extra qty in anticipation of a price increase to save money or tight supply to prevent shortage. • Reduce MRB inventory. Coordinate with suppliers and IQA component quality issues until closure. • RMA return management • Resolve vendor payment issue and settle invoice price discrepancies • Ensure integrity of MRP • Ensure correctness of purchasing matrix (leadtime, MOQ, SPQ, EOL, LTB, pricing, manufacturing part number, packaging) • Clear past due POs and align outstanding POs with suppliers

Coordinate with purchasing and engineering all design changes during development stage and report status of the program to concerned groups. Highlight problem part that would cause target build delays. • Capture and report all material obsolescence due to engineering changes • Check system accuracy of information entered in the system such as BOM’s effectivity date and MRP forecast versus build plan. • Document and standardize New Products Planning process flow. • Consolidate reports (eg New Products Materials Metrics, Material Reviews) and present to top management.
