Oversee, jointly with the Chief Operating Officer, all matters of Fund Accounting and Operations. Responsibilities include accounting policy, financial reporting and tax matters. Serve as liaison to Fund Administrator and independent auditor. Oversee all aspects of Management Company accounting and administration. Responsibilities include accounting policy, financial reporting, management reporting, budgeting, expense management and partnership practices. Oversee, jointly with the Director of Business Development, the Client Services function. Initiatives include upgrade of CRM and quality control enhancements. Oversee Human Resources including payroll, employment practices, health, dental and life insurance procurement. Oversee Tax functions including new tax firm selection, tax compliance policies and procedures, tax-related trading strategies and regional transfer pricing. Responsible for most administrative matters including office leasing, office management, employee functions and general administrative policies. Successfully led several process re-engineering efforts and control enhancements as well as refinement of historic financial and tax data and implementation of new management reporting tools. Renegotiated Fund Administration contracts, custody agreements, audit fees and replaced tax compliance firm saving in excess of $1 million of annual expenses. Work closely with the Firm’s Legal and Compliance Department on new fund launches, investment structuring, partnership agreements, vendor contracts and employee related compliance matters. Active member of the Firm’s Management Committee and Valuation Committee.
