Richard Bean

An extremely capable, reliable and highly experienced, safety-focused Mechanical Engineering Manager with 30 year’s extensive and varied engineering, safety, supervisory and Project Management experience. His experience in aviation and offshore engineering includes logistic planning and through-life support for various aircraft types and offshore projects ranging from the current in-service EH101, AW159 Modifications (RAD and FASWG) and International Lynx Helicopters to offshore wind energy. He has a proven ability in identifying, evaluating and utilising management tools to ensure on time delivery of projects and assets and mitigating against any negative impact on operational capability. He always maintains a strong focus on Health and Safety and seeks to champion Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace. Originally employed in the Royal Navy for 24 years as an Aircraft Engineer. During this time, he was called upon to investigate and diagnosed complex faults in equipment and systems in his trade, while having the ability to liaise with other trades to ensure the correct solution was always accomplished. His vast and varied career in the Royal Navy has supplied him with a wealth of experience to deal with pressure situations at sea or on shore during Conflicts in extremely arduous and testing conditions and in Operational Theatres; whilst serving on a variety of vessels and aircraft types
