In addition to providing guidance and support to teams in improving this experience. Because of our rapid growth, I undertook diverse responsibilities that presented significant challenges. The most significant accomplishments are: * API Strategy: Established a unified API strategy, collaborating with 6 teams within Platform Engineering to ensure consistent, high-quality APIs. Implemented an API catalog and automated API quality validation, enhancing platform usability. * Team Leadership: Lead different teams like DevEx team, driving a restructuring to double team size and prioritize customer-centric enhancements such as API and Event logs. Also served as Solution Lead for Mid Market, overseeing team growth and platform improvements for mid-market customers. Leading over 6 engineering managers coordinating approximately 100 developers. * Hiring Manager: Successfully recruited over 60 developers in 2022, optimizing the recruitment process for efficiency while ensuring diversity and quality in candidate selection.
I led the formation and expansion of a team from the ground up, scaling it into a 20-member strong developer group with a dedicated focus on three key domains: * Ecommerce Integration: We specialize in seamless integration across a diverse array of platforms, including Magento, Magento2, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, PrestaShop, Shopware 5 & 6. * API Library Development and Maintenance: Our expertise extends to the development and upkeep of API libraries for key programming languages such as Java, PHP, DotNet Core, Node.js, Go, and Python. Our primary objective is to ensure impeccable interoperability between platforms, coupled with the provision of robust API solutions. * Automated partner solutions: We design and implement APIs tailored to automate integration processes for our partners, streamlining their operations and enhancing efficiency.
As part of our initiative to bring ecommerce integrations in-house, I took the lead in integrating Magento, Magento2, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud. My responsibilities included ensuring seamless integration with the Adyen platform and keeping these integrations consistently updated.
During my six-month project at Adyen, I undertook the task of developing a payment integration solution for PrestaShop. My role involved crafting a PrestaShop plugin aimed at simplifying the process of integrating Adyen's payment solution into the PrestaShop ecommerce platform, particularly targeting non-technical users. This integration facilitated seamless access to Adyen's payment services, accommodating over 250 payment methods worldwide.
During my tenure, I led a project at Workx, where my responsibilities included the re-platforming of their legacy ASP application to ASP.NET MVC. Following this project, I transitioned to a role directly with Inwork, where I led the re-platforming efforts for their CRM system onto a new PHP stack leveraging the Yii PHP Framework. Additionally, I contributed to the development of innovative features for their WordPress website.
Workx is a rental company for tools and machinery, located in the Netherlands. They offer a wide range of rental products, ranging from hand tools and power tools to construction machinery, garden equipment, and accessories. I was responsible for replatforming the environment from a legacy ASP environment to a new ASP.NET MVC application.

Working on a project to improve the DigiOffice Enterprise platform. DigiOffice is a comprehensive system designed to efficiently digitize and optimize all work, business, document, and information processes. From quality documents to sales processes, and from corporate identity automation to document management, DigiOffice Enterprise provides a seamless solution for streamlining operations and enhancing productivity. The platform was built on ASP framework 3.5.

Transitioning after a year, I moved into the role of a backend engineer, improving the development of innovative features for the platform. This involved working with PHP and Java components to enhance functionality and scalability.
In the summer period i worked for 3 weeks at ASAM to build a Joomla login module. This module made it possible to login to different systems with only one login form.
