A-PAG is a foundation that has been set up to help reduce air pollution in India. Unlike a few other civic organizations that work on environmental issues, our emphasis is entirely on-air pollution. As a part of Bihar Clean Air Action Plan - Program Management Unit (Air Quality); (BCAAP-PMU), I am working with Bihar State Pollution Control Board (BSPCB) in consultation with other stakeholder departments (District Collectorate, Gaya, Gaya Municipal Corporation, Road Construction Dept.) for the effective implementation of National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) in Gaya. My work revolves around empowering the administration with simple tools to monitor and thus bring the change in the air quality by providing capacity building and tech support. Key Responsibilities: 1. Act as government’s liaison to coordinate with the stakeholders for program implementation and evaluation. 2. Coordinate and conduct training sessions, capacity building sessions, stakeholders meetings and implement field-based interventions. 3. Conduct field surveys/data collection and analyse and prepare reports for resolution of air pollution issues. 4. Create lucid and engaging content in terms of presentations, posters and short-videos for awareness, sensitization training, and public awareness. 5. Coordinate effective documentation and information dissemination of ongoing activities in the public domain. 6. Develop strategies and plan to conduct monitoring & evaluation (M&E) of program implementation. 7. Development and implementation of technical and IEC interventions like toolkits, training modules and project management dashboard etc. to streamline stakeholders response to air pollution issues. 8. Drafted the part of State Action Plan for the state of Bihar for air quality improvement under NCAP in respect of Gaya city. 9. Trained government officials of stakeholder departments on air pollution sensitization training and technical know how of the dashboard for air pollution mitigation.
