AI Platform Services (AIPS) is the department responsible for developing data and ML driven services for SEEK’s products. My role includes both leading and growing the Engineering function, as well as supporting the other functions within AIPS from an operational standpoint. ● Leadership of 150, accountability for 50 Engineers across 12 teams ● Management and forecasting of CAPEX and OPEX budgets ● Direct reports were 5 Engineering Managers, Principal Architect and 4 Principal Engineers ● Growth of Department from 30 to 150 over 3 years (including COVID) ● Development of growth frameworks for Engineers and their leaders, coaching and mentorship programs ● Development of processes and the environment allowing teams to scale and adapt to rapid changes in the employment market including onboarding, recruitment and contractor engagement strategies ● Acted as a bridge between disparate sections of the business, sitting upon both AIPS and CTO LT forums ● Mentoring of Head of Engineering, Engineering Manager roles across the business ● Accountability for departmental Production systems, Security and IT governance
