Full executive control over strategic planning, operations, marketing, compliance, accounting and collection of fees/royalties from 1800 international licensees (40% in China). • Directed the spin out of HDMI LA as an independent entity – built the new organization with full business continuity from Day 1 and increased staff from 12 to 25 with locations in US, Taiwan and China • Launched HDMI 2.1 to global markets to move the display industry to 8K and beyond, continuing to position HDMI as the #1 digital/audio interface in the consumer electronics industry now and into the future • Instituted more stringent collection practices and negotiated multiple settlement agreements, increasing international royalty collections by more than 30% in a mature consumer electronics market • Settled a major anti-trust investigation with the Chinese government (NDRC/SAMR), increasing royalty collection in China by 220% • Coordinated with borders and customs agencies worldwide to stage raids and seize counterfeit goods, protecting the integrity of the brand and IP on a global scale • Reduced withholding tax rates from 10% to 2% by establishing foreign licensing entities in Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan
