Responsible for managing and leading a small engineering team in the design and development of innovative vehicle safety products with the aim of reducing collisions between pedestrians and commercial & industrial vehicles. This role involves running the NPI process from requirements capture through to full development in the electronic mechanical and software domains. Performing testing, validation and certification, concluding with engineering product release. New supplier acquisition and far-eastern travel are part of this role.
Design and development of electronic hardware from initial project concept through to volume production including project management, production engineering, certification & test. Designs are focused on communications equipment incorporating Power Line Communications (PLC), SFP modules, Ethernet interfaces and include test equipment, software and procedures for a production environment.
