Searching for hypothetical heavy particles that can couple to the top quark (the heaviest known elementary particle), by looking at collision where two lepton (electron or muon) were produced with the same electric charge. This type of collisions can be produced by standard phenonema but with a very low rate. Finding an excess with respect to the expectation would then be a sign a new phenomena. I also develop hadron calorimeter for the High Luminosity LHC project, in particular the electronic readout which convert an electric current into a numerical signal that can be saved in a computer. In this context, I work with electronics and micro-electronics engineers.
