Ryder Todd Smith

As a Rose Institute and Claremont McKenna College alumni with deep engagement in California local government, I was invited to serve on the Board of Governors. Our role is advisory, and we help the Rose Institute and its amazing student workers develop areas of study or support their personal life experience objectives. The Rose Institute covers a wide array of public policy issues in California, from redistricting to charter school policy. The mission of the Rose Institute of State and Local Government is to enhance the education of students at CMC, to produce high quality research, and to promote public understanding on issues of state and local government, politics, and policy, with an emphasis on California.
