UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD Job Description in accordance with Article 15, paragraph (a) of the Higher Education Law No. 2547: Article 15 – a. Establishment and Functioning: The University Administrative Board consists of the rector as the chair, the deans, and three professors elected by the senate for a four-year term to represent various academic units and disciplines affiliated with the university. The rector may call the board to a meeting when deemed necessary. Vice rectors may attend the board meetings without voting rights. b. Duties: The University Administrative Board serves as an advisory body to assist the rector in administrative matters and carries out the following tasks: Assisting the rector in implementing decisions of higher education governing bodies and the senate in line with established plans and programs, Ensuring the execution of activity plans and programs; reviewing the investment program and budget draft prepared by considering the recommendations of affiliated university units, and submitting these, along with its own recommendations, to the rectorate or, in the case of foundation universities, to the board of trustees, Making decisions on matters related to university administration brought forward by the rector, Examining and making final decisions on appeals regarding the decisions of faculty, institute, and vocational school administrative boards, Performing other duties assigned by this law.
