The principal aim of the charity is to generate income to support and assist helicopter emergency medical services throughout the UK and to lead the improvement in the availability of primary helicopter landing sites at major trauma and key A&E hospitals to help end preventable loss of life caused by secondary road transfers. The HELP (Helicopter Emergency Landing Pads) Appeal, is a significant initiative financing emergency helipads at key major trauma centres and A&E hospitals. Our research has revealed that many Trauma Centres and key A&E hospitals would benefit from a safe, on-site helipad facility. My role will focus on raising awareness of HELP to accelerate fundraising for the benefit of our hospitals and their patients nationwide; engaging with the corporate sector to develop sustainable partnerships; building a pipeline of support and in conceiving strategic objectives to ensure growth in funds.
