Advice is offered, when requested, on nutrition and a healthy, species specific diet. Nana's Pet Care is solely owned and operated by "Sam" Shirley Ann Madeira. Sam has 25 years experience with pet sitting and pet care. She is an animal rights advocate and guardian of her own pets [dogs, cats and other critters] all of her adult life. Sam uses a healthy diet, and alternatives: homeopathy, whole food supplements, flower essences, herbal remedies and a holistic approach with her own companions. Sam has fostered and rescued personally and in concert with local pet rescue organizations. Sam feeds healthy foods and treats and a species specific diet, including raw foods, no grain kibble, canned foods and cooks for her companions. They also have raw, meaty bones and receive massage. When treatment is needed for well care, Sam uses a holistic veterinarian and they receive chiropractic adjustment, acupuncture, homeopathy and other alternative modalities. When necessary and appropriate, they receive conventional treatment as well.
