Leading Engineering teams and owning the Automation and Extensibility product and engineering strategy for Shopify. We are building products for the largest merchants on Shopify, helping them scale and grow their business by building products geared towards business process automation, system integration, sale automation and orchestration, and business rule extensibility. My team's mandate is also empowering developers with platforms, APIs, dev tooling that provide UI and data extensibility of Shopify. The products my teams own handle over 1B events per week, are used by over 60% of the largest merchant base on Shopify and include: Flow: https://apps.shopify.com/flow Scripts: https://apps.shopify.com/script-editor Launchpad: https://apps.shopify.com/launchpad Argo: https://github.com/Shopify/argo Key Accomplishments: * Grew the org to 80+ engineers, building structure, defining team culture and processes to support our growth and the health of the teams * Oversaw building the next generation platforms of these products from the ground up that included a complete rearchitecture and building of front end, backend, infrastructure, and provided APIs and SDKs exposed to 3rd party developers * Spearheaded the platform thinking of our strategy that allowed the products to be leveraged by 3rd parties, as well as leveraged within Shopify as a foundational platform for building workflow automations and UI and data extensibility * Improved our reliability and scale, helping the team to handle 5X the scale, improve reliability and uptime to >99.9%, and improve our SLAs * Worked with the team to join the ByteAlliance (https://shorturl.at/huDUW) and contributing to the open source Wasm community * Focused on people development, mentoring and growing members of my team
