• Technical Specification Checking and Preparation as per contract & process requirement. The work involves with the technical queries, deviations in conjunction with the vendors standard, code requirement & contractual obligations. In the process the matter is taken up with owner/owner’s consultant for technical resolution. • Studying the vendor’s offer & preparation of technical comparison among the offers received with the highlights of merits and demerits of the featured points of the offers which leads to technical clearance of the offers. • Techno-commercial meeting with supplier & preparation of resolution for the subsequent LOI/ PO. • Preparation of technical document list (from vendor) & setting the delivery cycle for documents as well as material dispatch to suit the project schedule. • Communication with end-users/ consultant for the approval of technical documents. • Co-ordination with intra & inter groups during vendor engineering and communication with technical collaborator cum Joint venture partner (Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Limited, Japan) for their comments/ decision as applicable. • Leading a team of Engineers to handle the entire responsibility related to supercritical boiler Non-Pressure Part and Interface with other department • Job planning & distribution – Involvement in job planning and distribution of the same to meet the project schedule. • Progress monitoring: Build up a system to monitor the progress of the job and take corrective measure to meet the project schedule. • Layout Creation & Review of Super Critical Boiler. • Solving Queries of Vendors & Providing Off-Site & On-Site support to Site Execution team. • Review and Release of BOM and MR. • Pre-BLU inspection of Boiler before Light-Up and preparation of Punch Point Report. • Pre-Hydro Test inspection of Boiler and preparation of Punch Point Report. • Boiler inspection before Boiler Light-Up and preparation of Punch Point Report. • Review and checking of drawings.
