FORCE is an NGO that works towards creating a 'Water Secure' Society. We work on creating infrastructure, partnerships, behavioral change and mass movement on all issues related to water and sanitation - rainwater harvesting, reducing water wastage, safe drinking water, recycling of gray water, revival of water bodies and other environmental issues related to water & hygiene. FORCE has its priorities and focus on two programs - Blue India Program and Clean Wash Program. Blue India Program : To create awareness, innovate, design, implement & impact government policy for The 5 ‘R’s of Water Conservation 1. ‘R’educe Wastage of Water 2. ‘R’e-use used water 3. ‘R’echarge to groundwater 4. ‘R’ecycle Waste Water 5. ‘R’espect Water Key intervention areas of Blue India Program are: 1. Prevention of Wastage and Waste Water Recycling through natural methods 2. Reviving Ponds, Lakes and Water Bodies 3. Rainwater Harvesting 4. Awareness, Knowledge Sharing, Research Clean Wash Program: To create awareness, innovate, design, implement & impact government policy for dignified, easy and sustainable access to Safe Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for the poor with 1. Community Leadership 2. Minimum WASH standards for all 3. Livelihood linkages and sustainability planning, and 4. Administrative support Key intervention areas of Clean Wash Program are: 1. Sustainable WASH solutions for urban slums. Currently working intensively in 65 urban slums 2. School WASH – Infrastructure and awareness for toilets, safe Water, Hygiene (including menstrual hygiene) 3. Preventive Health Solutions – related to WASH
