The most vulnerable pupils are in danger of becoming the victims of school closures during the corona virus pandemic. Even now that the schools are (partly) reopened, support is still necessary. Voluntary organisations, the Municipality of Utrecht, primary and secondary schools, universities of applied sciences and the university are now working together on equal opportunities. Taal Doet Meer links students between 6 and 16 years old to an online language and homework buddy. We do this in close collaboration with other organisations. Together we invest in the quality of support and we also focus on desired support in the longer term.
We are setting up a campaign in order to build an ever-growing Tiny Forest movement. We map interested local residents and potential volunteers and help them form a local Tiny Forest group. As part of the project, we'll be following the Tiny Forest training, and learn about community building and the organizing method.
