Joined Blu as an early founding member of the startup. Blu’s product Factors was an attempt to build a highly scalable, cloud-based platform to allow users to make data-driven decisions. Building such a platform was an incredibly challenging and rewarding experience. I gained an enormous amount of learning on distributed systems architecture and development. Even though we couldn’t succeed in making it a business, I believe in hindsight I have gained valuable lessons & experiences that helped me build better solutions in the future.
During my short stint of 2 months at Netscout, I contributed to the development of Sniffer Multi segment analysis module of nGenius Service Assurance Solution. The module consists of complex visualizations which helped network managers to troubleshoot and provide visibility and analysis of application flows across multiple network segments, including network latency, and applications turn times. I took knowledge transfer from an outgoing senior team member on existing UI components built in .Net and Flex. I delivered an enhanced version of 2 components in record time, and received appreciation from my seniors.
I was part of Business Intelligence Solutions team for Automation and control solutions (ACS) which is one of the four business units of Honeywell. Lead the UI development effort across several solutions, gained real world experience of data mart/data warehouse based application development. During my time I spearheaded new innovative initiatives on usability, building rich internet applications using Adobe Flex, creation of common BI reporting framework, delivering KPIs on Blackberry mobile devices. I also evangelized importance of rich internet applications, conducted technical talks and trainings across teams. I also had the opportunity to supervise and train new joiners & interns.
