We are not the first parents to come up with a product design because we couldn't find what we were looking for in stores! Our little girl started walking earlier than we expected and while we had read every article on what shoes to put early walkers in, we hadn't actually gone shopping for shoes yet! So we went in search for some beautiful but practical soft-soled leather shoes. What she found was beautiful impractical hard-soled synthetic shoes or ugly but practical soft soled leather, but so few in real leather. We had been educated that you shouldn't put babies in hard-soled shoes until they have established walking properly, up to age 3. We are also keen on fashion and weren't keen on putting her in ugly practical shoes. So we designed some shoes that we knew would look great, but that were also good for the little ones feet. Ta-da, Sienna Baby shoes. The following month whilst in Bali for a family wedding, we popped out to the local markets to see if we could get our dream Sienna shoes made. After enduring many, many shops, markets, and leather wholesalers in the sweltering March Bali heat, we finally found our solution. We met a beautiful family who have a small workshop in Kuta/Ubud, we loved the team and were happy to know that the value chain of our product starts with family and stays that way right until it makes it to you!
