Responsibilities included: • Surveyed and wrote an updated market review of feed grains consumption prospects and inclusion of fuel ethanol as an octane booster in gasoline by refineries and blenders in United Arab Emirates, Oman and Pakistan. • Wrote a market report on prospects and potential of inclusion of fuel ethanol in gasoline in Pakistan for the US Grains Council membership. • Successful advocacy with the UAE government not to ban import of Dried Distillers Grain & Solubles produced from GMO corn • Conducted workshops in United Arab Emirates, Oman and Pakistan on consumption of Dried Distillers Grain & Solubles in the poultry, dairy, beef fattening, aqua culture and feed milling sector. • Successful advocacy with various departments, including Ministries of Commerce and Finance, Agriculture, Petroleum and Climate change the Government of Pakistan to implement ethanol blended fuel policy.

Milad Gostar Sepher owned 22,500 MT Edible oil tanks to store soybean oil and 100,000 MT flat sheds to store soymeal and corn at the Port of Bander Imam Khomeini in Iran. Market development of the following: • Market survey of grain consumers in the starch, feed milling, livestock, poultry and dairy sectors. • Conducted trials using corn as grain in feed rations for beef fattening and on dairy farms to create better market awareness. • Assisted using the PL 480 grant to inject financial support to initiate sales of feed grains. • Organized regular seminars and conferences to debate technical and commercial aspects of feed grains. • Wrote and printed literature to create more awareness on advantages of using feed grains. • Developed commercial transactional papers between sellers from United States and buyers in Pakistan of feed grains.

Pioneered several commercial activities in Pakistan, including: • 1984 - First ever sales of coated aluminum/PVC/PE/PVDC for pharmaceutical packaging, increasing the shelf-life of medicines. • 1995 - First ever sale of soybeans to the country from the United States, while doing so supporting the underutilized oil extraction capacity of the country and fulfilling the needs of the country for edible oil and meals. • 1996 - Executed the first sale of Sun-seeds from Ukraine and Canola from Australia in the country. • 1997 - Granted a Treaty Trader status to develop trade from USA to Pakistan. • 2000 - Assisted the Trading Corporation of Pakistan to develop and organize the first ever export of milling wheat from Pakistan to Kenya. Sourced and exported the largest quantity of milling wheat from Pakistan during that campaign.
