'Running in the Halls' was an independent multidisciplinary design and development studio that I co-founded in 2009. Specialising in multi-platform app creation, physical interfaces and web applications as well interactive installations. During my time there 'Running in the Halls'. had an R&D led approach to work and I personally led creatively ambitious interactive projects. Our motto was If it wasn’t intrinsically interesting or didn’t solve a worthy problem, or it didn’t advance the state of the art, we didn’t get involved. Our work on game and digital entertainment projects appeared on several TV channels across the UK and we held the Official Guinness World Record for the world's largest projection mapped game created in conjunction with Channel 5's the Gadget Show and Bandai Namco. Through my design direction and push for original IP, 'Running in the Halls' were also the creators and owners of Librarygame. Librarygame offered an enhanced interface to public and academic libraries by amplifying their intrinsic game like qualities resulting in improved user engagement, it was used by the Open University, The University of Glasgow, The University of Manchester and pioneeringly used first at the University of Huddersfield, and scaled to over 120,000+ users. TV Appearances ► Guy Martin Vs the Robot Car, Physical Computing, AI Tea-maker.
