Country Manager - Bangladesh Led the country P&L for all franchises of the Medical Devices business in Bangladesh from the Retail driven Glucometer & Sutures business to the Key hospital Account driven businesses in Orthopaedic joints, Cardiac Stents, Diabetic, Endo-surgery and the tender driven Sterilisation equipment business. This was a specialised business and I led a highly trained team of 40 experts who worked with the leading Surgeons of Bangladesh to grow the medical devices business footprint and the trained pool of practitioners across specialities. In 10 months we were the #1 or #2 player in each category across all leading institutional accounts. I expanded the distribution footprint from 26 to 40 locations across the country for sutures business and de-risked the business from dependence on a single importer. Regularly liaised with Government bodies and regulatory agencies for import policy changes and improving ease of business in Healthcare products. Launched the Skill Lab in Dhaka for creating the Orthopaedic talent pool for Bangladesh and ensure the country is able to cater to its captive patient pool.
Heading sales & distribution for a 500 strong proprietary sales team in South India for the startup Health Insurance business. Recruited the entire managerial team of 4 state heads & 20 location managers and established a distribution network within 3 months. Highlights: - ICICI Prudential's Top Regional Manager in the country on sales & business quality parameters - Awarded Prudential Asia award at Hong Kong for Sales Excellence.
Led Bancassurance, Direct Marketing & Corp Agency channels for Eastern India. Responsible for managing the relationship and branch referral sales through ICICI Bank in Eastern India.
