Vinay Chaturvedi and I started India Dreamin in 2017 because India did not have one. Every user group talked about it. Nobody had stood it up. First edition 30 September 2017 at GL Bajaj, Greater Noida. Second edition 1–2 December 2018, two days, 2,200 people. Largest Salesforce community conference in the world at that point. The outcome was a room that had not existed in India: students, admins, developers, partners, and customers on one campus, with global speakers in local time. Students saw Salesforce as a career instead of a product they had never touched. The volunteer crew on that campus learned how to run a conference, not just attend one. We proved a Dreamin this size could be built here. That is why people still introduce me as co-founder of India Dreamin 2017 and 2018.
