Our vision is that young people are able to access free professional mental health support as soon as it is needed. Now more than ever young people are in need of someone to turn to at a time when everything else may seem so uncertain. We provide open-ended support based on individual needs so that young people are able to achieve real, long-lasting, positive life changes in their future. At WYC we try hard to provide a friendly, respectful, confidential service, influenced by the young people we work with every day. Winchester Youth Counselling (WYC) has been providing free counselling and therapy to young people in Winchester for 20 years. Anyone between the ages of 11-25 are eligible to receive free support from us. We provide a range of services to young people in Winchester as well as support for parents and carers. Our office and counselling rooms are based in central Winchester, and we also work from a number of the district’s secondary schools, as well as providing therapies in the beautiful Winchester countryside. WYC is a registered charity and we are always interested in hearing from funders, individuals, and local businesses that may wish to work with, or support us. We are also always actively looking for volunteers of all ages, including volunteer counsellors and specialist services. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to find out more.
