• Formulating and presenting investment strategies for the various Funds under purview of FMDQ Clear Limited • Conducting market research and sourcing market intelligence • Communicating strategies to Clearing Officers & Analysts to ensure optimum portfolio mix • Responsible for the supervision and provision of leadership for Clearing Treasury team • Responsible for prompt and accurate execution of transactions and investment strategies for portfolios under management • Responsible for the optimal liquidity management & provision of cash to meet planned/unplanned obligations as they fall due • Responsible for trade execution, including compilation and dissemination of approved portfolio trade orders to counterparties • Supervising dealing/trading of fixed income securities such as Local bonds, Treasury Bills, Promissory Notes etc. • Providing direct mentorship, coaching, capacity building and development of Clearing Treasury team • Reviewing and analysing fixed income portfolio/funds and macroeconomic policies with its attendant impact on investments and investment decisions • Assessing and effectively managing all risks associated with the Fund objectives and activities to ensure alignment with the approved risk appetite and risk management framework • Conducting periodic return appraisals for all portfolios/funds including portfolio optimization, index/benchmark and asset class analysis • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders towards meeting set corporate and/or portfolio objectives
