DK Sense venture began in 2019 with Data Konect. Objective of the venture is to provide low cost but highly reliable and efficient system to manage operations in facilities management, hospitals, manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, power plants, quarry and other establishments with critical devices and equipment. DK Sense implementation begins with 8 or more channels as needed to collect data from devices, equipment, sensors and equipment. The data ranges current, distance, flow rate, level, moisture, position, pressure, temperature, voltage and many others such that from CRM, ERP, PL, SCADA etc. In first stage, DK Sense monitors and analyses this data and provides useful information such as anomalies in performance such as rise is temperature or pressure or vice versa as per the requirement, and likelihood of failure. It raises alerts in these cases. Second stage of DK implementation involves taking automatic action or facilitating manual action such starting or stopping of motors, pumps (with OH&S considerations), autofill of ingredients in case of manufacturing and others. Third stage of DK Sense involves complete automation of manufacturing operations. It does so by providing a unified, easy to use, highly secure App / Web based system that integrates all manufacturing or operational systems. It automates all routine processes irrespective of complexity and provides for alerts, audits and manual intervention to keep the system safe.

I picked up this role to see how our innovation practices align with wider industry. This interesting role involves mentoring project mentors under the acclaimed CIE/CIP program of 'University of Melbourne' to deliver a great technical outcome from the project. I am mentoring 4 project mentors and their respective teams in this term.
