PriceSpider is a data company helping brands to both increase sales (Where to Buy platform) and perform Digital Shelf Analytics. Reporting to the CTO, originally hired to bring engineering and product delivery leadership to the Digital Shelf Analytics' applications of Brand Monitor and PROWL which perform 1 Billion crawls per month and ingest 300 price changes per second. Brought Brand Monitor out of a 3 year beta into a GA release within 6 months of being hired by defining processes and procedures and helping the team achieve laser focus to get MVP delivered and iterated upon to achieve the General Availability Release. Assumed the product management role for PROWL and led various quarterly business review and roadmapping sessions. Optimized support processes and implemented a metric driven focus on prioritization. Led the team through the SOC2 Type 2 compliance initiative, working directly with pentesters, auditors and business stakeholders to achieve compliance in April 2021. Created innovative solution to optimize the performance on a LAMP stack architecture to bring query response times from 300 seconds to 300 milliseconds. Recruited engineers, UX, product and QA to bring PROWL to the next level using a microservices GoLang based architecture backed by Snowflake and Data Pipelines Assumed leadership of the Data team and brought real business objectives to the ongoing Kafka based datahub project. Worked to integrate EU & US based data engineers. Hired replacement Director of Data and Analytics to continue projects in a cost effective and business oriented way. Assumed leadership of DevOps during staff turnover and helped navigate the team through various high profile projects and incidents. Engaged vendor to perform security and risk assessment. Hired replacement Director of DevOps and several additional DevOps team members to increase the strength of the team. Created Disaster Recovery (DR) processes.
