The remit for this role included Community Banking (Branch Network, Skybranch), Consumer Products, Affluent, Private Clients, Intermediaries, Digital, Front Line Support teams and the whole Mortgages business. - Delivery of effective Reward solutions to support the business strategy including support for restructures, retention, growth & transformation. - Accountable for the reward decision making & approach for hiring & out of cycle pay changes at all levels. - Accountable for the annual payround (salary review & bonus decisions) across these areas. - Job evaluation (Towers Watson GGS) & market data matching. - Supporting legal & HR with employment tribunals This role also included Reward project ownership across PCB. Key examples include; - delivery of online compensation system across all of PCB including France, Spain, Portugal & Italy - the Branch Transformation which included development of the organisational design & ownership of job evaluation, compensation structure & career framework as well as Union consultation; - closure of Barclays Direct (formerly ING Direct) business at the end of 2014; - the Structural Reform Programme in Personal Banking & the flexible benefit proposition (My Rewards).
This role included responsibility for the Branch Network, Telephony, Barclays Business, Consumer Products, Digital, Mortgages, Intermediaries & the Front Line Support teams (c22,000). Ownership of Reward for ING UK (now Barclays Direct) was added to the role post acquisition. This role included the same business responsibility as above as well as project ownership across the Retail Bank. Key examples of projects; - Ownership & development of the external offer management process for the whole Retail Bank (c33,000). - Delivery of a new online compensation letter system across the Retail Bank including engagement, testing, implementation, communication & training. - Design & ongoing ownership of Reward proposition for the Apprentices & all Development Programmes. - Input into the design & ownership of the launch of the new flexible benefit offering across the Retail Bank including communication & training (podcasts, masterclasses, articles, materials, road shows etc). - Reward leadership through the ING Direct acquisition from due diligence to TUPE transfer & then ongoing Reward management of the newly formed Barclays Direct business. This included; creation & consultation on redundancy terms, bespoke retention arrangements, out of cycle pay reviews & the annual pay & bonus structure and review for the whole business.
Various HR Business Partner roles - HR Business Partner for Distribution Services and the Strategy, Planning and Transformation Team. - Interim HR Business Partner for the Product Teams (Consumer Lending & Insurance, Mortgages, Current Accounts and Savings). - HR Business Partner for Barclays Business (c1,800FTE) This involved broad HR experience including; mapping and managing talent, numerous change projects and associated redundancies & redeployment, restructuring / organisational design, performance management, union consultation, coaching, executive recruitment, Reward management (including Payround, out of cycle pay changes and incentives), employee relations, tribunals and compromise agreements. Building, owning and delivering all aspects of the HR plan for the business areas supported.
