Within just 3 months of being hired, I was selected for this role within the corporate workplace violence team. I integrate my specialized skills into investigating a range of workplace violence incidents, harassment, suicidal ideation, and threats across 400+ global worksites, including: • Managing, Analyzing, and Assessing Threats • Preparing and Managing Investigative Plans • Building Partnerships with Multiple Business Areas • Documenting and Reporting All Findings 🎯 My deep expertise in investigative operations is highly regarded for training new investigators on best practices in investigations and developing operational policies to optimize the team’s performance.

I was recruited to conduct complex investigations into allegations of misconduct and policy violations at corporate locations around the world; and partnered with teams in human resources, employee relations, legal, and security to facilitate investigations, conclusions, and recommendations. 🎯 Acknowledging my policy prudence, my expertise was directly requested to write a physical evidence-handling policy for the team, where none had existed.

As I successfully transitioned from a career in the public sector to the private sector, I was hired for this temporary support role to lead a team of 7 direct reports to execute the objectives of the Asset Protection department, including: • Internal and External Investigations • Reduction of Shrink • Audits • CCTV Coverage • Store Access • Minimizing Civil Liability Exposure 🎯 Within a few short months, I established and honed a partnership with the in-store management team to optimize the store’s CCTV system for full coverage and reduce shrink.

In addition to leading and mentoring a team of 8 investigators and managing budgets within the organization, I built and maintained critical relationships with local, regional, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, attorneys, and community-based stakeholders. This was key to facilitate the investigative consultation process. 🎯 I was tapped to represent the agency across 4 programs, as a result of my leadership style and focus on proactive problem solving.

I leveraged my subject-matter expertise in law enforcement operations to instill accountability in my 8 direct and 7 indirect reports to achieve the highest level of performance. I also served as a liaison and leader among the police support officers, campus resource officer, traffic, patrol, and narcotic K-9 units. My strategic security acumen was expended to design and implement security strategies for 2 widely attended community-facing events. 🎯 I developed and incorporated training to increase my team’s efficiency, productivity, and skill sets, while improving the department’s collaborative footprint in the local community.

Leveraging my experience as an investigator, I was able to acclimate quickly to my new role and make immediate contributions. I supervised a squad of patrol officers and motivated them to exceed objectives for quantity and excellence in their work. This approach helped me to manage crime scenes and critical incidents more effectively. As an avid communicator, I facilitated daily briefings to inform the team of the happenings within the prior 24 hours. I maintained a focus on leadership methodologies to further develop my individual and group leadership capacity to grow the people around me, as well as myself. I took control of handling all investigations for internal and external employee complaints and worked to develop corrective action. With a commitment to investing in my team, I implemented an internal development plan to increase training opportunities, conduct performance reviews, and deliver constructive feedback.

This role introduced me to the world of major crime investigations, as I quickly showcased my ability to excel in high-pressure situations. I handled a wide range of felony criminal investigations including assault, homicide, sex offenses, fraud, identity theft, burglary, larceny, and robbery. My critical-thinking skills and high attention to detail helped me to collect and analyze case evidence and data to improve probability of solving crimes. To solve investigations and close cases, I worked hand-in-hand with the unit sergeant to decide on recommendations per case.
