The British Land Speedsail Association is the Governing Body for land speedsailors and Blokart sailors in the UK. The Vice Chairman's position is an executive role requiring full involvement in monthly conference calls, where the committee addresses all issues involved with the daily running of the Association. During my time on the National Committee I was involved with the team who organised both the 2014 and 2015 British Open Blokart Championships. This involved securing sponsorship, liaising with venue management company, organisation of contracted caterer for competitors, guests and spectators, advertising the event via social media and other supporting duties when they arose. We also initiated bringing in-house all non-commercial Instructor training.

Full time Senior Instructor over seeing all aspects of on water centre activities. As a recognised RYA training facility the centre runs courses for dinghy sailing and windsurfing, along with raft-building, bell-boating and canoeing. The role also involves working with dis-advantaged youth who attend on a weekly basis and have the opportunity to try different water activities. On occasion I have sole charge of a Drascombe Longboat in which we take special needs and physically challenged children and their helpers on the water. In doing this they are introduced to sailing, given the chance to try steering and crewing boat if they are able, or we just take them out of their normal immediate surroundings so they can experience some form of outdoor education
Sole responsibility for the introduction of the O'pen BIC dinghy to the British sailing market. The 2011 Tour was launched at the RYA Dinghy Show and received a great response. Main Objectives - Promote the O'pen BIC dinghy to sailing clubs & training centres nationwide. Organise the nationwide tour and liaise with key decision makers within clubs and centres in regards to booking a Tour visit. Develop print marketing ad campaign to be placed in major national magazines. Set up social media sites and maintain relevance with updated images, stories and video. Visit all clubs with demo boats to promote the O'pen BIC and the O'pen BIC concept of racing where needed, also assist with club training if needed.
