The idea for GameLayer was born about a decade ago while I was still working at Nokia and was trying to introduce gamification into the business ... Upon leaving Nokia it was clear that I needed to pursue the opportunity of gamification further and the SNAP! platform was conceived. Fast forward to today and my concept and solution for gamification has been deployed by some of the largest enterprise companies in Finland (Veikkaus, Finnair, Kesko, Reima) and the platform has served over 1billion API calls. In the age of digitalisation and digital transformation, user engagement has to be at the front-and-centre of the design process ... gamification can help deliver on this need.
